Allison M. Pacelli is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at
Williams College. She earned her B.S. in mathematics from Union College in 1997,
and her Ph.D. in algebraic number theory from Brown University in 2003.
While at Brown, she worked as a teaching consultant and teaching fellow at
the Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. She
was also the recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in
Teaching and the Mathematics Department Outstanding Teaching Award.
Allison is a member of Project NExT. In addition to doing research in
algebraic number theory, she is also the co-author (with Alan Taylor) of
the book Mathematics and Politics: Strategy, Voting, Power, and Proof
(Springer, 2nd edition).
